I have always been fascinated by the posts about what people keep in their bags or the apps people have on their phones. I don’t really know why, maybe I’m just inherently nosey, but I like to consider myself a curious person. Regardless, I thought I’d make my own post about my favorite iPhone apps because I’m sure I’m not the only curious George or there. Although maybe no one particularly cares about what’s on MY phone, but still. I’ll tell myself you care.
I organize my apps in multiple ways. Two really. The first being by use, which of course means that the ones I use the absolute most are on the home screen, although I’m kind of weird and I like to keep the home screen as close to how it came. The second and third screens are organized by both how often I use the apps and by color.
I have a love hate relationship with Instagram (and all social media to be honest.) But, as a photographer, Instagram is a necessary evil. How else am I going to share my amazing photography? hehe
This one saves me during my commute every day. I usually download an episode of Riverdale to watch on the train ride into the city and the train ride home, but recently I have been loving Jane the Virgin. I have no idea why it took me so long to jump on that bandwagon!
As a lover of words, I love this app for so many reasons. Everyday I try to incorporate the word into a sentence, even if it’s just a really bizarre one I send to my boyfriend. (Love you babe.)
Yes, another word app. My commute goes from the train to the T, and while I watch Netflix on the train, I don’t like to have headphones in on the T because it’s always crazy packed. If I get super bored I whip out my phone and play a round of Word Stacks, although I always play a round during lunch too. PeopleFun, Inc. your apps are on point.
I love that you can connect pretty much any finance related account to this app, like your student loans, and then set budgets AND get financial advice based on your spending habits etc. As I have gotten older, I have become much more in tune with my spending. Thank you Empower, for empowering me with the knowledge to better budget my funds.
Because I am bound to the will of public transit in Boston, this app SAVES me. When you hear “MBTA” you immediately think “delay” so I am always checking this app before I leave to make sure I can make my train or make route adjustments if need be. Maybe not my favorite app, but certainly one I use multiple times a day!
I LOVE Pinterest. From recipes to outfit inspo, this has it all. Whether I am bored and just want to look at some pretty pictures or I want to find an idea for an outfit, Pinterest is my go to.
Ever since I did a three month Spotify premium trial for $0.99, I have been HOOKED. Seriously, I don’t know how I lived before subscription music. I mean, $9.99 a month for unlimited music? Ultimate game changer.
As previously discussed, I LOVE Podcasts. Especially loving Blackout with Rami Malek. But I also love anything True Crime. Sometimes I’m not in the mood to listen to music (shockingly) so a podcast is a great alternative.
Shazam is one of the greatest apps of all time. Seriously, I tweeted about this idea back before Shazam was even a thing, so really it was my idea. (HAHAHA). In all seriousness though, I love music and if I hear a song when I am out and about, I always whip out Shazam to figure out what it is so I can add it to my Spotify.
